BASIC INFORMATION OF DIVISIONAL SECRETARIAT
Manmunai South West Divisional Secretariat is situated in the Western Coast of the Batticaloa Lagoon and it consists of 24 Grama Niladhari Divisions. It is situated 9 km away from the Batticaloa Town. It extents with the Land Area is approximately 125.1 sq.km and the Inland Water Area is 36.5 sq.km. There are 9,699 families here. Total Population is 30,203.
Boundaries of this division are:
- Manmunai West DS Division & Batticaloa Lagoon in North
- Poratheevu Pattu DS Division & Ampara District in South
- Batticaloa Lagoon in East
- Manmunai West DS Division in West
Economy mostly depends on Farming, Labour Sector, Secondly Government or Semi Government Servants.
